MAJOS

Majos reflects on and recreates the social phenomenon known as Majismo by exploring the emotions of resilience and disruption in the physicality of the dancers. Dissecting and transfiguring some of the main traits of the majos such as gallantry, wildness and flagrant charm, the work draws on a frenetic world where it does seem impossible to let go of your defences, egos and resistance to open up to love, pain and vulnerability. Majos articulates the language of a resilient rebellion.
